We're here for Max,
and for children like Max.

From Natalia and Sam
Founders, Max Life Foundation

Our son Max was diagnosed with a racquetball-sized pediatric glioma before he turned two. We were terrified.

It was the heroic efforts of St. Jude Children's Hospital and others that gave Max a second shot at life. After an initial emergency surgery in Orlando, a follow-up scan showed the tumor had continued to grow, and we were graciously accepted to St Jude. The entire clinical team at St Jude, led by Dr. Paul Klimo, were singlehandedly responsible for saving Max's life and preserving his autonomy for childhood. Their incredible skill finished a surgery that other hospitals said would be impossible.

We were inspired to create the Max Life Foundation by other extraordinarily generous members of the community who selflessly sent us their own funds to help with our own transition. We want to help more families, and children like Max, to find their way to happy childhoods through donations like yours. Thank you for being here.

What is Pediatric Cancer?

Pediatric cancer is not one disease, but many. It occurs when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably in any part of a child's body, disrupting normal development during their most crucial years of growth. Unlike adult cancers, childhood cancers are rarely linked to lifestyle or environmental factors—they often develop from genetic changes during early life development.

Each year in the United States, approximately 15,000 children under the age of 19 are diagnosed with cancer. That's about 43 children per day whose lives—and whose families' lives—change forever in an instant.
